Pregnancy and new birth are some of the most exciting and challenging times in a woman's life. It is not uncommon to feel anxious or struggle with bigger emotional responses. These are all things we can work with together. When we can put those emotions or difficult thoughts in a broader perspective, you are able to return your attention to where you want it to be - growing your family and being the kind of mother you want to be.
Infertility is acutely painful in ways that are difficult to anticipate. It may feel like you are alone, buffeted between hope and disappointment. You have to make difficult choices oftentimes with limited information, but what feels like very high stakes. At the same time, you try to maintain the rest of your life and responsibilities while often carrying heartache away to yourself where no one else can see or really understand. We can go through this together. Therapy can provide a place to mourn when you need to, build habits of kindness to yourself, and allow space for hope.
